Frequently Asked Questions
Is the network cable included?
No. The camera ships with mounting hardware and a weather-resistant cap, but network cable is not included.
Are there any monthly fees?
No. Lorex V Series cameras have no monthly fees. Footage is stored locally on your recorder.
Which recorder does it work with, and how is it powered?
It works with the Lorex VC 4K 8-Channel NVR and other select Lorex NVRs (see the compatibility list on lorex.com). It is a PoE camera (802.3af), so a single network cable carries both power and video when connected to a PoE port, such as the built-in PoE ports on the Lorex VC NVR. It can also be powered with a 12 V DC adapter (not included).
How does the Extended Warranty work?
Choose the 1-Year or 2-Year Extended Warranty option on this page to extend your coverage to 2 or 3 years total, counted from your date of purchase. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and we will guide you to the right Lorex support team. Claims are subject to eligibility and the Lorex warranty terms and conditions.
Is installation included?
No. Installation is not included and we do not offer installation services. The camera ships with mounting hardware.
