Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need to be hardwired?
No. It plugs in using the supplied 9.84 ft (3 m) power adapter cord, so no hardwiring is required.
Can it tilt?
It pans up to 160° horizontally, through the app or manually. It does not tilt.
Which Wi-Fi does it use?
2.4 GHz networks only. It does not connect to 5 GHz-only networks.
How is footage stored?
Insert a microSD card (up to 256 GB, not included) and the camera records with no recurring fees. Lorex also lists Lorex Cloud as an option on its product page.
Does it work with Alexa or Google Assistant?
No. Lorex states this camera does not support Alexa or Google voice assistants.
Are there any monthly fees?
No monthly fee is required to use the camera with a microSD card (not included), and local storage has no recurring fees. Lorex also offers optional cloud storage through a Lorex subscription.
How does the Extended Warranty work?
Choose the 1-Year or 2-Year Extended Warranty option on this page to extend your coverage to 2 or 3 years total, counted from your date of purchase. Is installation included?
No. Installation is not included and we do not offer installation services. Mounting hardware is supplied for the mounting options Lorex lists in the box.
