Is it for indoor or outdoor use?
Indoor use only. Lorex states this camera is not rated for outdoor use.
How is footage stored?
Insert a microSD card (not included) for local recording, or use Lorex Cloud. Local storage has no recurring fees.
Does it connect to an NVR?
No. This camera does not connect to an NVR. You view live video and recordings through the Lorex Connect mobile app, not a laptop, and recording is based on motion detection rather than continuous recording.
Which Wi-Fi does it use?
Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz).
Are there any monthly fees?
No monthly fee is required to use the camera with a microSD card (not included), and local storage has no recurring fees. Lorex also offers optional cloud storage through a Lorex subscription.
How does the Extended Warranty work?
Choose the 1-Year or 2-Year Extended Warranty option on this page to extend your coverage to 2 or 3 years total, counted from your date of purchase. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and we will guide you to the right Lorex support team. Claims are subject to eligibility and the Lorex warranty terms and conditions.
Is installation included?
No. Installation is not included and we do not offer installation services. Mounting hardware is supplied for the mounting options Lorex lists in the box.
