What is included in this system?
The 8-channel recorder with a pre-installed 128GB microSD card, four cameras, and a cable, power adapter and mounting hardware for each camera. See What’s Included above for the full list.
Are cables included?
Each camera includes a 60 ft BNC/DC cable and a 12 V / 1 A power adapter, and the recorder includes a network cable and an HDMI cable. If a camera is farther from the recorder than the cable allows, additional cable is sold separately.
Is a monitor included?
No. A TV or monitor is not included. The recorder has HDMI and VGA outputs so you can connect your own display.
Is storage included?
Yes. A 128GB microSD card is pre-installed. The recorder supports microSD cards up to 256GB and has one drive bay for an optional hard drive up to 10TB (hard drive sold separately).
Are there any monthly fees?
No. There are no monthly fees or subscriptions. Footage is stored locally on the recorder.
What do I need for remote viewing?
Remote access requires a high-speed internet connection and a router (not included). Lorex recommends a minimum upload speed of 6 Mbps for the best video performance, and up to 3 devices can connect at the same time.
Can I add more cameras later?
Yes. The recorder supports up to 8 cameras in total. You can add any compatible Lorex T Series camera, see Expand Your System above.
How many cameras can use AI detection?
The 8-channel recorder in this system supports AI motion detection on up to 2 channels.
How does the Extended Warranty work?
Choose the 1-Year or 2-Year Extended Warranty option on this page to extend your coverage to 2 or 3 years total, counted from your date of purchase. To make a claim, contact us with your order number and we will guide you to the right Lorex support team. Claims are subject to eligibility and the Lorex warranty terms and conditions.
Is installation included?
No. Installation is not included and we do not offer installation services. The recorder ships with a network cable, HDMI cable, USB mouse and power adapter, and each camera ships with its own mounting hardware.
